Veterinary Services

Cat Care

We are pleased to provide 24-hour emergency service to give you the peace of mind that your regular veterinarian can examine your pet in the event of an emergency situation. Emergency services are provided through the Orrville Veterinary Clinic.

X-rays allow us to see the size and shape of many of the internal organs and bones, as well as to see many foreign bodies that your pet may have swallowed. We can administer barium and other contrast agents to help highlight many conditions.

We strive to educate pet owners about their newest family members. We cover many topics such as housebreaking, vaccination schedules, dental care, flea and tick control, heartworm prevention, pet proofing of your home, and several ideas to ensure quality care of your pet.

Lameness is also a very common problem in our pet population. We offer complete orthopedic evaluations and treatment on an out patient basis.

Professional physical examinations are the most important aspect of quality pet care. Because animals age faster than their owners, examinations are needed more frequently than once a year.

Preventative health care is more than just vaccinations.  We strive to educate clients on proper vaccination protocols, heartworm prophylaxis, nutritional support, and weight management.

We are also one of the more progressive surgical practices in the area, offering anal gland removal and other more delicate soft tissue surgical procedures.

We offer a wide variety of lab services. We perform the majority of the services at the clinic, so results are available on the day that they are performed. Some tests must be performed at an outside laboratory.

Companion Animal Care

Does your pet have bad breath? This may indicate dental disease. Dental care is an extremely important aspect of overall pet care.  To perform a complete cleaning, we anesthetize each patient.  Following induction of anesthesia, each patient has a full oral examination.  Most of the time this includes dental radiology (X-rays) to evaluate the tooth roots and the attachment of the teeth to the underlying jaw bone.  Using this advanced technology, we can then formulate a plan if further oral surgery is required at that time to extract diseased teeth.
