Dr. Greg A. Roadruck

Associate Veterinarian/ Past Owner

Dr. Greg Roadruck started his veterinary career at Orrville Vet Clinic in 1980. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. When he joined OVC there were five veterinarians four staff members and one new office built in 1978. Now, there are five offices, a Pet Spa, and fifty employees. Dr. Roadruck practiced mixed animal, concentrating on large animal for 30 years. When he sold his ownership in the practice, he switched to small animals exclusively. He says he's never enjoyed practicing as he does now. Large animal was more physical and technical, where as small animal is much more mental. As an older veterinarian it's much easier on his body. However, he did enjoy the physical work and being outside. He worked for a 3,000 cow client and many 20 cow Amish clients. He was absolutely in awe of his draft horse patients. Dr. Roadruck now works at the Akron Barberton office. He consults many owners on behavioral problems and does limited behavioral appointments. He's been married for 45 years with two daughters and two grandchildren. In his off hours, he loves spending time with family and friends. Dr. Roadruck goes to Yoga Classes two to four times per week and has always loved lifting weights. He is not sure how much longer he will practice, but as long as he has an excited staff and they are all having fun he will continue.
